This is a very interesting work featuring the first Turkish President Ataturk. Puzzles of him are very prominent in the catalogs of Turkish puzzle manufacturers, but this is probably my favorite of them all due to the distinctive art style. The quality was top-notch as well.
Tolga Ertem’s Savaş Yılları (War Years) is a dramatic, historically inspired composition centered on Mustafa Kemal Atatürk during the Turkish War of Independence. The image presents Atatürk as the dominant figure, conveying determination and authority while surrounding him with imagery associated with the struggle for national independence. The muted, earthy palette and strong contrasts give the work a serious, almost monumental atmosphere, while the carefully arranged figures and historical elements create a sense of movement and conflict. Rather than functioning simply as a portrait, the composition seeks to evoke an entire period of upheaval and transformation, combining portraiture, historical imagery and graphic design into a powerful commemorative image.
