I thought this puzzle was going to be easy, but boy I was wrong.

This is the fourth Sunflowers puzzle I have done. I previously completed the Munich version (Ravensburger 1K), which is framed and displayed at my daughter's house. Many years ago, I also did a 300 piece hand painted reproduction, which is framed and stored at my father-in-laws place. I also did a panoramic Ricordi 1K, which I haven't framed.

Sunflowers is one of Vincent van Gogh’s most celebrated still lifes, painted in Arles in January 1889 and now housed at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Van Gogh depicts a simple vase filled with sunflowers at different stages of bloom, using an extraordinary range of yellows to create a painting that seems to glow with warmth and energy. The flowers also introduce a quieter sense of passing time as some begin to wither. Through bold brushwork, vivid colour and an intentionally simple composition, Van Gogh transformed an everyday subject into one of the defining images of modern art.
