This difficult to find puzzle took quite some time as a village house project due to the gold accents and shininess of the pieces. I originally was missing a piece, and was gutted, but it turned up about a year later hidden under a carpet.
This particularly attractive metallic-gold edition transforms the antique-style world map into a richly decorative image, with areas of the cartography enhanced by a shimmering gold finish. The combination of aged parchment tones, blue-green seas, detailed geographical labeling and metallic gold gives the puzzle the appearance of an elaborate historical map mounted as a decorative artwork. The gold elements catch the light across the completed puzzle, adding an effect that cannot be fully appreciated from a photograph of the box.
