Canan Berber was born in Merzifon in 1967. Her inclination for art was discovered in the UNICEF World Children's Painting Competition held in India in 1977; she left this competition with an award. She graduated from Ege University Textile Engineering in 1987 and worked as an engineer in Istanbul for a while.

In 1993, she went to London to study language and study modern art and design at the London City Literature Institute. During his time in London, she began to get to know and discover her passion for painting.

After completing her education, she returned to Istanbul; She wrote articles for magazines such as Schizophrenia and Utopia. In 1997, she published his first book called "Chikka Boo". After this period, she worked on paintings, colors, patterns and ceramics in the works of some contemporary artists. She founded the Artisterik Creating Club and led art-oriented projects that brought together many artists under the name of the International Istanbul Tunnel Festival.

She opened her first exhibition in 2000 and after this initiative, she opened many solo exhibitions in Turkey; Italy, Switzerland and England and took part in mixed exhibitions.

Since 2003, she has held exhibitions with the world jewelry brand Adler in Geneva and London. The subject of her works was mostly Hittite Brides, Semazens and Pomegranates, Apples.

Between 2006 and 2012, she organized many exhibitions with Toprak Art Gallery, mainly in Istanbul and Bodrum. Many of the artist's works have been included in domestic and foreign private collections. In 2015, the artist's works were on UNICEF's postcards.
